WISCONSIN FORWARD AWARD RECRUITING BOARD OF EXAMINERS
MADISONThe Department of Workforce Development (DWD) today announced the Wisconsin Forward Award (WFA) program is now accepting applications for the 2000 WFA Board of Examiners, which is comprised of individuals responsible for evaluating applications from organizations that apply for WFA recognition and feedback.
"WFA is seeking business leaders who can bring a wide range of expertise to the evaluation process," said DWD Secretary Linda Stewart. "We are looking for top-notch individuals with experience in operations management, quality assurance and assessment, human resources, training and development, and strategic planning."
The Wisconsin Forward Award process challenges businesses, educational institutions, health care providers, governmental agencies and other non-profit organizations to advance their competitive position and achieve world-class status in the global marketplace, promote continuous learning and performance improvement and identify organizational strengths and target key opportunities for improvement. The annual award process is modeled after the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.
Secretary Stewart said this is a great opportunity for Wisconsins business leaders to get involved in the WFA process and provide their expertise, while enabling them to learn new management principles that can be applied to their own organization.
Examiners typically have experience and knowledge in quality and performance management principles and practices. Examiners reap many rewards by participating in the program, as it:
