Apply by Telephone
Most initial claims currently require you to speak with a Claims Specialist to be completed. If you are filing an initial claim and need to speak to a Claims Specialist, we encourage you to use the following schedule based on social security number (SSN) to help ensure all initial claimants can reach a Claims Specialist in a timely manner:
Day to Call
|Monday||Tuesday||Wednesday, Thursday & Friday|
|Last digit of SSN is 0-4||Last digit of SSN is 5-9||All SSNs (Open Call-In)|
Time to Call
|Monday-Friday||7:45 AM - 5:00 PM|
If you call during hours when Claims Specialists are not available, the system will record your claim as having been filed and will tell you to call back (using the same telephone number) during regular business hours to complete your application. Your claim will start in the week that you placed your first call.
When to Start Your Claim
Consider filing your claim online -- it's fast, easy and secure!
