Step-by-Step Guide for the First Time User

 

  1. Click on the box marked Work Permit Offices.

  2. In the upper right hand portion of the computer screen enter your permit office number and click the find button.

  3. The permit office information on your permit office should now appear on the screen. Verify that you have the correct permit office before proceeding. If you have the wrong permit office hit the reset button to clear the information and enter the proper permit office number.

  4. Use the computer mouse to position the cursor in the box next to the statement “Reporting Period”. The first box designates the first month of the reporting period and the second box denotes the last month of the reporting period. If you are reporting on just one month, both dates will be the same.

  5. The next step is to tab down to the section listed as “number of work permits issued” and enter the number of permits issued.

  6. Use the tab key to tab down to the next entry line, “number of street trades permits issued” and enter the number of permits issued.

  7. Use the tab key to tab down to the next entry line, “number of age certificates issued” and enter the number of certificates issued.

  8. You will note that as you enter the number of permits and certificates issued the computer screen automatically updates the amount of money collected line.

  9. After entering the number of age certificates issued you then will tab down to the “amount of refunds issued”. On this line you need to list the amount of money refunded for improperly issued permits or certificates. The amounts listed must be in increments of $5.00 [cost of one work permit or age certificate].

  10. The computer screen on the next line titled “Net receipts” will display the total amount of net receipts for the reporting period. This amount must match your manual records. If it does not, you need to recheck both the information submitted and your office records to determine why there is a discrepancy and then correct it.

  11. The next line on the computer screen will automatically calculate the amount of permit and certificate fees the permit office must remit to the department.

  12. Tabbing to the next line , “Submitter’s Name” you must submit your first and last name. If this line is left blank the computer program will not let you proceed to “make a payment”.

  13. Please note: A user without entering any information other than permit office number can immediately click on the “Check Account status” button to review account activity.

  14. As a first time user you will click the “make payment” button next. In doing so you will be transferred to the U.S. Bank payment site. Once there it will be necessary for you as a first time user to formally register, establish a user identification and secret password. To begin the registration process, click on the registration button.

  15. REGISTRATION

    Registration allows you to create an account with the payment system in order to store accounts and easily access payment information in the future

    There are two sections to Registration, Payor Identification and Payor Profile. Complete the requested information in both sections, and remember that all bold fields are required.

    Payer Identification

    In this section, you create your own Username and Password. Provide the required information, following the instructions on the screen for required number of characters. Please note that both are case-sensitive when logging in. Make a note of your Username and Password and keep it in a secure place.

    Payer Profile

    In the Payer Profile section, complete all the bold or required fields.

  16. PAYMENT INFORMATION and PAYMENT DETAILS

    Payment Information section provides information about your payment.

    Payment Details section provides details unique to your payment.

    Click Continue to proceed with this payment. Select Cancel to return to the previous screen.

  17. E-CHECK ACCOUNT INFORMATION. Because you are paying by e-check, you will need to enter your bank institution routing number and checking account number here.

  18. VERIFY PAYMENT.

  19. Your payment process is complete!
