CMA with EHRS and Medical Terminology

This course prepares you with essential medical office management skills for success in healthcare settings. Aligned with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the curriculum covers medical office procedures, legal, ethical, and regulatory concepts, and the use of electronic health records (EHR), including system content, implementation, and patient and staff interaction. The medical terminology component introduces the language of medicine and human anatomy, emphasizing the interaction of body systems such as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and immune systems. Students with prior knowledge may test out of this component. WIOA funded students must consult their funding representative before using this option. Upon completion, you are prepared for the NHA Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) certification exams.
