Program Description

The CBRF Standard Precautions course prepares caregivers and direct care staff to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a safe environment in Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs) in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Health Services requirements. Participants will learn infection control principles, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, bloodborne pathogen precautions, cleaning and sanitation procedures, and methods for reducing exposure to communicable diseases. Upon successful completion, students will demonstrate competency in Standard Precautions practices and will meet Wisconsin CBRF training requirements for Standard Precautions. Students who successfully complete the course will be added to the Wisconsin CBRF Registry within 24 hours of course completion. Show More
