Program Description

The Greenhouse Technician Embedded Technical Diploma program provides students with the scientific knowledge and practical skills needed for successful plant production in controlled environment systems. Through integrated coursework and hands-on greenhouse experience, students learn plant propagation, crop scheduling, nutrient management, integrated pest management strategies, automation technologies, and environmental controls of modern greenhouse, high tunnel and hydroponic facilities. Emphasizing sustainable practices and data informed decision making, the Greenhouse Technician program provides a strong foundation for further study in horticulture or controlled-environment agriculture and prepares graduates to start their own controlled growing environment business.
