Program Description

The Basic Corrections Academy is a program that provides the curriculum required for correctional officer certification with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Standards Board. The program is a 200-hour course that focuses on the philosophical and tactical principles of working as a correctional officer in Wisconsin. The course includes a skills-assessment examination prior to completion to verify student competence.
