We are accepting Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) online applications from individuals unable to work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic who do NOT qualify for Regular Unemployment Insurance (UI), e.g. self-employed, independent contractors, workers with limited work history.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) encourages unemployment claimants who received or are approved to receive benefits for any week beginning in 2021 to update their health care application and enrollment between July 1 and August 15 on HealthCare.gov to maximize the savings on their Marketplace coverage for the rest of the year.
